Chemical reagents are different from ordinary solutions. Most of them have the characteristics of volatile, flammable, explosive, and easy to decompose when exposed to light. If the bottle cap cannot be opened, the use of brute force can easily cause the chemical reagents to be sprayed on the face, The body and other parts have certain risks. When the cap of the reagent bottle cannot be opened, the following methods can be used to deal with it.
(1) Percussion. For the ground bottle, you can tap the mouth of the bottle lightly with a wooden utensil to gradually loosen it due to vibration. For reagent bottles that have not been opened for a long time and are glued, the stopper and bottle mouth of the instrument can be stuck at the corners of the experimental table or wooden table, and then lightly tapped with a wooden utensil in the direction at an angle of about 70° to the axis of the instrument, and at the same time Rotate the instrument intermittently, and repeat the operation several times, generally, you can open the grinding mouth that is not severely cemented.
(2) Heating. For reagent bottles and screw caps that are inconvenient to be knocked or knocked invalid, the outer layer of the cemented part can be heated so that it will be thermally expanded and separated from the inner layer. For example, use a hot damp cloth to “hot compress” the cemented part, use an electric hair dryer or a swimming flame to bake the grinding mouth, etc.
(3) Infiltration. For reagent bottles that are firmly fixed or not suitable for knocking and heating, they can be opened after soaking in water or dilute hydrochloric acid for several hours. If the instrument is used urgently, organic solvents with strong penetrating power (such as benzene, ethyl acetate, petroleum ether and dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate, etc.) can also be added dropwise to the gap between the mouth of the bottle, so that it can penetrate and infiltrate to the viscosity. The fixed parts are thus separated from each other.
If it is difficult to open the bottle cap of the reagent bottle, you can choose one of the above opening methods according to the actual situation. It should be noted that the reagent bottle containing flammable and explosive reagents is not suitable for heating.
