Notes on the use of laboratory beakers

Broken beakers should not be used in the laboratory. Once the beaker is damaged, the remaining chemical reagents must be removed first, and then treated as sharp solid waste.
Do not heat the beaker directly with a flame. Beaker bottom area is large, direct flame heating will make it uneven heat, resulting in glass damage and burst. Therefore, the beaker must be lined with asbestos mesh before heating to evenly heat the beaker;
When using a beaker to heat a liquid, the liquid shall not exceed two thirds of the beaker volume;
When using a beaker for water bath heating, deionized water should be used to prevent scaling on the beaker wall, which will affect the transparency of the beaker.
When using a beaker for dissolution, the liquid should not exceed one third of the beaker volume. Use the glass rod to stir gently and vertically while dissolving, without touching the bottom and sides of the cup.
