How to use the lab watch glass
Wash and dry the watch glass before use. The watch glass has a wide range of uses, but no matter what kind of instrument is used instead, it must be used according to the method of use of various instruments. For example, for gas cell identification, attach two watch glasses, using a ground synthetic gas chamber, and a piece of test paper soaked with reagents on the upper watch glass, and place the compound to be identified on the lower piece. On the watch glass, heat if necessary, observe the gas generated in the reaction, and identify the gas from the color change of the reagent. If you observe white precipitates or turbidity, you can put a piece of black paper on the bottom wall of the watch glass, and the white product can be clearly seen. If you make various instrument covers, you only need to use its arc to place it on the instrument port and keep it stable, but pay attention to select the watch glass according to the diameter of the instrument. Generally, the diameter of the watch glass should be larger than the diameter of the instrument by 1cm, which is more convenient to use. For beaker lids, use watch glass with different diameters according to the beaker capacity.
