Classification of chemical reagents

Chemical reagents are widely used in the synthesis, separation, qualitative and quantitative analysis of substances, and are an important condition for the progress of science and technology. Chemical reagents are indispensable in the daily work of factories, schools, hospitals and research institutes. So what is the classification of chemical reagents and what should be paid attention to in the selection of reagent bottles?

According to the purity and impurity content of chemical reagents, they can be divided into the following grades:

1, superior purity (GR, green label) : the main ingredient content is very high, high purity, suitable for accurate analysis and research work, some can be used as a reference substance.

2, analytical pure (AR, red label) : the main component content is very high, high purity, interference impurities are very low, suitable for industrial analysis and chemical experiments.

3, chemical purity (CP, blue label) : high content of main components, high purity, interference impurities, suitable for chemical experiments and synthesis and preparation.

4, experimental pure (LR, yellow label) : high content of main components, poor purity, impurity content is not selected, only suitable for general chemical experiments and synthetic preparation.

Chemical reagents are classified on the basis of purity and impurity content, and the selection criteria of reagent bottles depends on the characteristics of the reagent contained in them.
