Fehling’s solution is a reagent that can identify reducing substances, invented by German chemist Hermann von Fehling in 1849. Generally, it is made up of sodium hydroxide and copper sulfate solution. This kind of reagent is usually prepared for ready use, and a reagent bottle is needed in the configuration process.[ Wide-Mouth Reagent Bottle,Reagent Bottles 250ml Companies,Reagent Bottle 1000ml Factories,Reagent Bottles 250ml Suppliers,Wholesale Reagent Bottle 1000ml ]
Fehling reagent is often used to identify the presence of soluble reducing sugars, which can react with reducing sugars to form brick red precipitates. Fehling reagent A and Fehling reagent B will spontaneously and slowly produce cuprous oxide precipitation due to the reducibility of tartaric acid after mixing. Therefore, Fehling reagent is generally prepared for current use. The preparation process is as follows: 0.1 g/mL NaOH (Liquid A) and 0.05 g/mL CuSO4 (Liquid B). The preparation method of A solution is to dissolve 50g of sodium hydroxide and 137g of potassium sodium tartrate in 500 mL of distilled water (stored in a bottle with reagent). The preparation method of B solution is to dissolve 34.5g crystalline copper sulfate in 500mL water, add 0.5mL sulfuric acid, and mix well.[ Wide-Mouth Reagent Bottle,Reagent Bottles 250ml Companies,Reagent Bottle 1000ml Factories,Reagent Bottles 250ml Suppliers,Wholesale Reagent Bottle 1000ml ]
In reducing sugar experiments, generally mix Fehling’s reagent A and B in equal volumes (or drop 4 to 5 drops of B in 2 mL of fluid A), and then pour the mixed Fehling’s reagent into the test solution , Water bath heating or direct heating. If there is reducing sugar in the test solution, it will appear brick red precipitation; if there is no reducing sugar in the test solution, it will still appear blue.
Reagent bottles are mainly used to store various chemical reagents. At present, there are two materials of glass and plastic. The color can also be made into brown according to the nature of the chemical reagents to prevent the reagents from being volatilized, decomposed or deteriorated.[ Wide-Mouth Reagent Bottle,Reagent Bottles 250ml Companies,Reagent Bottle 1000ml Factories,Reagent Bottles 250ml Suppliers,Wholesale Reagent Bottle 1000ml ]
