Evaporation pan is a vessel for evaporating concentrated solution or burning solid. It has a large mouth and a shallow bottom. There are two kinds of round bottom and bottom with handle. Evaporation dishes are most commonly used for porcelain, but also made of glass, quartz, platinum, etc. Material is different, corrosion resistance is different, should be selected according to the nature of the solution and solid. Specifications in diameter, there are 60 ~ 150mm and other kinds. The main use is to evaporate liquid, concentrated solution or dry solid substance. Function

In general experiments, when the volume of evaporation solution is small, it can be directly evaporated in the evaporation pan. For non-combustible solution, if the solution is very thin, and the material has good thermal stability, the evaporation pan can be placed on the asbestos net with alcohol lamp or gas lamp directly heated evaporation, to be transferred to the water bath heating evaporation when the solution becomes thicker; For combustible organic solution, if the solution is thick and the material is poor in thermal stability, it should be evaporated by indirect heating with a water bath in the fume hood.
