Conical / Erlenmeyer Flask Introduction

The Erlenmeyer flask is a titration reactor made of hard glass with a triangular longitudinal section. The mouth is small and the bottom is large, which is conducive to the full reaction and the liquid is not easy to splash out when the titration process is oscillating. The container can be heated on a water bath or electric stove.
An Erlenmeyer flask is a cone-shaped container with a flat bottom and a narrow mouth, which is generally used in titration experiments. In order to prevent the titrant from splashing out of the bottle when it is dripping, causing experimental errors, the bottle can be stirred on a magnetic stirrer. You can also hold the neck of the bottle with your hand and shake it with your wrist for smooth mixing.
The conical flask can also be used in ordinary experiments to produce gas or as a reaction vessel. Its tapered structure is relatively stable and will not tip over.

Precautions for the use of Erlenmeyer flask

(1) When oscillating, hold the bottleneck with the thumb, index finger, and middle finger of your right hand, lightly hold the lower part of the bottleneck with your ring finger, relax the wrist, and drive the fingers with the palm to vibrate in a circular shape.
(2) When the conical flask needs to be shaken, the solution in the flask does not exceed the volume.
(3) If the liquid in the conical flask needs to be heated, it must be covered with asbestos net.
